Supporting Women’s Reproductive Healthcare Choices

When New York elected a true Democratic majority to our legislature in 2018, within the first month, they passed the Reproduction Health Act, ensuring reproductive health access and rights for New Yorkers. Sadly, these rights have been lost in “Red” states around the U.S. There is a VERY REAL threat that if MAGA is unchecked they will dismantle our rights in NY and throughout the country.

In the meanwhile, we have compiled a partial list of resources of helpful resources for access to reproductive healthcare for anyone in our country.

  • Aid Access: Works with a team of US registered abortion providers will provide FDA registered abortion pills to people in all 50 states
  • Hey Jane: Be seen, heard and cared for – Uses telemedicine to help women seek abortion treatment
  • I Need an Abortion: Provides secure abortion search options for all states: We’ve designed ineedana.com to protect your privacy by not storing anything you enter when you search you options and keeping your digital footprint small.
  • National Network of Abortion Funds: NNAF is a network of 100 abortion funds. Abortion funds are grassroots organizations that support people seeking abortion access.
  • Planned Parenthood: Planned Parenthood is one of the nation’s leading providers of high-quality, affordable health care, and the nation’s largest provider of sex education. With or without insurance, you can always come to us for your health care.
  • SisterSong: SisterSong is a Southern based, national membership organization; our purpose is to build an effective network of individuals and organizations to improve institutional policies and systems that impact the reproductive lives of marginalized communities.
  • Women’s Reproductive Rights Assistance Project: (WRRAP) is the largest national, independent, nonprofit abortion fund. We provide urgently-needed financial assistance nationwide to individuals seeking abortion services or emergency contraception.

In addition to the above organizations, veteran journalist Jessica Valenti has founded a daily newsletter, Abortion Every Day. The newsletter aggregates updates and information from across the country. To access the information, you need to subscribe to the site. While there is a “free” option, Jessica does request a small monthly donation. https://Jessica.substack.com
